Types of Engraved Pens
Engraved pens give a sleek and professional-looking
touch to the traditional promotional pen. Many companies use logo pens
as a way to promote themselves to clients. Naturally, this method is so
popular because it is both successful and affordable. However, you still
want to make sure that you stand out above the crowd. In a sea of
freebie pens, those with fine engraving on the side are going to stand
out over the products with the printed logo rubbing off. Engraved logos
are also more durable, for a pen that will keep proclaiming your name
for a long time to come.
Nearly all types of engraved pens come in an
assortment of colors. Common options include blue, black, red, green,
purple and silver. Put a little thought and consideration into the color
you choose as this can say a lot about your company. In marketing, the
color blue evokes feelings of trust and reliability. Black is used to
convey sophistication and elegance. Green is associated with freshness
and abundance. Silver has a sleek, scientific feel. Red can be
associated with strength, excitement and speed. Choose a color that
sends the right message. Potential customers will make a judgment based
on the hue you select, even if it’s subconscious.
Different engraved pens will also operate
differently. A click pen is a common choice, but those that twist open
can seem a bit more elegant. If you want your customers to feel
comfortable using the pen often, a soft grip will make it more
comfortable to hold. Colored pens typically feature either silver or
gold metal along with the color of choice. Both colors have an air of
prestige about them, but gold is a bit more welcoming and warm while
silver is colder. When you’re selling luxury items, however, seeming
cold and a bit aloof isn’t always bad. It may make your products seem a
touch above the rest.
Lastly, you’ll need to select the font and wording
for your engraved pens. The text you choose will stand out nicely when
it is engraved onto the surface of the pen. Make sure the lettering
sends just the right message. If you have a well-known logo, you’ll want
to include this and keep the font the same as what customers already
associate with you. While your company name is the most important
feature, you should also be sure to include contact information so
clients can find you. A web page is important as this is the easiest way
for people to find out more.
